We are thrilled to be counted among Impact Grants Chicago’s 2019 award recipients! Last night, we were awarded a generous $100,000 grant that will support services that promote healthy development and academic success for children and youth at Facing Forward. Yvonne is a mother and a Facing Forward resident. After living on the streets, Yvonne and her children found a stable home at Facing Forward. Now her son is excelling and her daughters are all college graduates. Learn more about Yvonne’s incredible story in this powerful 2-minute video.

The issue of homelessness is often discussed through statistics. But we believe that a truer story of homelessness is revealed through the stories of the individuals who’ve experienced it – and the successes they’ve achieved by ending its cycle.
One of Facing Forward’s clients, Lesby Ortega, was featured in a Making a Difference story on NBC5. She was proud to tell her story and share how she’s changed her life with the help of Facing Forward.
NBC5 Chicago, Telemundo Chicago, and community partners–including everyone here at Facing Forward to End Homelessness–are urging our Chicago neighbors to act locally and make a difference this summer. Through Neighborhood Heroes, we are asking viewers to pledge to do small acts of kindness. From reading
