Facing Forward seeks to welcome Rapid Rehousing Case Manager for our Home Connections Program. Responsible for assisting families with school-aged children experiencing homelessness, this member of our team will help families transition into permanent housing with a time-limited rental subsidy while providing home-based case management, and supporting residents in increasing income, strengthening life skills, and developing a plan for long-term housing stability. A car is required to conduct home visits throughout the city of Chicago. This is a full-time position with some evenings and weekends required.
The Housing Advocate supports survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, and other forms of gender-based violence in obtaining housing opportunities. They also actively seek out, create, and maintain relationships with private and non-profit based landlords. In addition, the Housing Advocate assists clients in accessing financial assistance to support the transition into housing and refers participants to other supportive services as needed. The Housing Advocate is an integral member of the Property Team and works collaboratively with all aspects of Facing Forward programs.
Property Advocates perform administrative duties supporting Facing Forwards scattered-site housing programs. They are responsible for building landlord relationships, conducting inspections, assisting clients with location/re-location, assisting with repairs or maintenance issues, and working with landlords to ensure Facing Forward tenants and Landlord partners are complying with Chicago tenant rights.
Facing Forward is seeking an Accountant to join our team! Responsible for maintaining the financial records (general ledger), full-cycle accounts receivables and payable, journal entries, bank reconciliations and record-keeping, program support, data compilation, and report generation for each department within the organization.
