Facing Forward

As a mother of three, Jasmine had no steady income and was moving from house to house, living with family and in and out of shelters. Addiction kept Jasmine from achieving the things she wanted in life, but the real wake-up call came when her children were moved into the foster care system. She sought treatment and began her journey to recovery. Now that she has a permanent home, her children are together under one roof. The support of Facing Forward case managers and programs has helped Jasmine take every day one at a time, and begin looking forward to the future. “I look forward to working a steady job,” Jasmine said. “I have a better understanding of life and my capabilities. I look forward to remaining humble under the different things I’ve gone through…my sobriety means everything to me.”
